Education and Community

Each season, Southern Pro Musica performs a series of concerts aimed at inspiring children of ages 6 - 12, working in close partnership with the registered charity Children's Concerts.

Since our first concert in this series, the orchestra has now given over 100 performances in concert-halls across the south of England - including Chichester, Dorking, Guildford, Petersfield, Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester and Worthing.

Full details of these concerts, including information about the next series, can be found at www.childrensconcerts.org.uk

A central feature of SPM's 'Music for Guildford' programme is the provision to inspire and engage with younger musicians and audiences. This provision includes a wide range of Lunchtime Concerts offering a platform for talented young performers together with World Music workshops and a String Scheme introducing violin and cello playing to children in Guildford Primary/Junior schools.
