The professional chamber orchestra Southern Pro Musica has developed a strong reputation for the quality of its performances during the past 35 years – both in orchestral concerts and also in partnership with many of the leading major choirs in the south. Under the artistic direction of Jonathan Willcocks, Southern Pro Musica draws on the many fine freelance professional musicians choosing to base their careers in London and the south of England, and has developed a strong educational element to its work in its desire to reach out into the community. Concerts for children and families - often during the daytime - are a regular part of every season, in addition to evening performances given in a wide range of venues.
